MENTOR COACHING
Mentor Coaching is offered to trained coaches as the second step toward becoming credentialed by the International Coaching Federation. Through observed and recorded coaching sessions with clients, students receive individual feedback from trained mentor coaches on their use of the core competencies of coaching. The assessments are designed to increase the coach’s capability and effectiveness in coaching.
Seven of the ten hours of mentor coaching are delivered in the context of a “learning cohort” of no more than ten participants. The remaining three hours are provided in one-on-one sessions with a mentor coach. Each participant must have at least two coaching clients through the duration of mentor coaching. Mentor coaching takes place over a 3-month period of time and is offered throughout the year. All classes are currently taught in English.
Mentor Coaching provides:
- A chance for trained coaches to receive coaching from a qualified and experienced mentor coaching on their coaching of actual clients, while working toward the necessary 100 hours of client coaching required by the ICF.
- Mentor coaches help students identify their personal goals and works to strengthen their effectiveness as a coach.
- Coaches receive written individual assessment on observed and recorded coaching sessions, as well as verbal feedback and review of the observed session.
Investment (includes 10 hours of Mentor Coaching):
$1800 per participant
Note: In addition to Mentor Coaching, ICF credentialing also requires 60 hours of approved coach specific training, practice hours, and an application process.
